I am part way through writing something about "inconsistency" in art making. Sometimes the haphazard paths I take when making stop me from making and other times they help me find a way through that I couldn't have planned for.

I can relate to your description of "shiny balloons" syndrome. A lot of times I can't stay focused on 1 creative thing at a time, my mind loaded! I think I have ADHD, but...? 😁

I find my mixed media has slipped from my daily routine, my mind is elsewhere. Maybe gathering fodder for when I get the call? Maybe distracted and unable to settle? The mind is a curious thing when it comes to creativity
